Calculator provides yardage and cutting instructions, and assumes Quilter knows how to prepare and attach binding.
For Flange binding, the ‘accent’ fabric is the piece that will act as a thin accent around your quilt and the ‘true binding’ is the piece that will wrap around the edge of your quilt.
For Flange binding, I recommend cutting your strips, then assembling one long ‘accent’ strip, one long ‘true binding’ strip, then joining the two together along the long edge. This will ensure your seams match up all through the entire length. Once prepared, attach to the back (with accent fabric side up), and flip to the front.
