Sew Down Under brings together an incredible trip and a community of people who already share something they love. We’ll spend 10 nights sailing from Sydney to Auckland with SewBecca, Off Kilter Crafter Ian, and Chris Marchini from Rose City Originals. There will be new places to explore, time to relax, and plenty of chances to get to know the people traveling alongside you.

For many of us, this is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Sharing it with people who understand your excitement over a quilt, a beautiful fabric, or a little shop you spotted along the way makes it even more special.

You don’t need to arrive knowing everyone. That’s part of what makes a trip like this so much fun.

A conversation over dinner can turn into plans for the next day. Someone whose videos you’ve watched for years becomes someone you’re laughing with in person. And the person you didn’t know before the trip might be the friend you keep in touch with long after you get home.

Our journey begins in Sydney, Australia, and ends in Auckland, New Zealand. Along the way, we’ll take in Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound, and Dusky Sound, with stops in Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Tauranga, and the Bay of Islands.

Imagine seeing those landscapes for yourself, then coming back aboard to dinner with new friends and another day of adventure ahead.

Want to add some sewing to your sea days?

An optional quilting retreat with Becca, Ian, and Chris will give you the opportunity to learn, sew, and spend creative time together onboard. They’re working on a special project for this trip, and we’ll share more as the details are ready.

The quilting retreat is a separate add-on. Pricing and registration information are planned for mid 2027

Even if classes aren’t your thing, you can still join us for the cruise. Non-quilting partners and friends are welcome, too. You can each enjoy the parts of the trip you love and come together to share the stories afterward.
