Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones: Let’s Put That Fabric to Work!

Have a fat quarter bundle you keep admiring but haven’t quite decided what to make with it? Or a pile of scraps you swear you’re going to use someday? Let’s give them a project!

Stepping Stones is a precut and scrap friendly quilt that starts with a simple block. The fun comes when we begin turning those blocks and arranging them. A little change in direction makes a big difference, and that’s when you start seeing how the whole quilt comes together.

In the video , I’ll walk you through the piecing and share tips along the way so you can sew right along with me. Pick a coordinated bundle or mix things up with fabrics from your stash. I’d love to see what combinations you come up with!

The finished lap quilt measures 52" × 64", and the pattern includes options for using 15 fat quarters, 30 fat eighths, or scraps.
