We’re not just attending the cruise, we’re leading it! This is our retreat, and we’ll be teaching, guiding, and creating alongside you every step of the way.

Departing from Seattle, Washington, we’ll explore stunning destinations like the Ketichan, AK; Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier; Juneau, AK; Skagway, AK; Inside Passage; and Victoria, BC. As you take in the breathtaking Alaskan scenery, you'll have the unique opportunity to work on an exclusive quilting project with us, enjoying hands-on instruction and creative time at sea.

  • No, the quilting retreat is an optional add-on. To join the quilting workshops and special events, both the cruise and the add-on must be booked through RGE Travel.

  • Yes, the quilting retreat, pre-cruise shop hop, and any group shore excursions are optional add-ons with separate costs. Exact pricing details will be available through RGE Travel around April 30, 2026.

  • While there's no official deadline, spaces are limited. It's recommended to register sooner rather than later to secure your spot.

  • Absolutely! Since the quilting retreat is optional, non-participating companions can enjoy the cruise without attending the quilting events.

Travel Logistics

  • Our 7-night cruise is scheduled for August 28 – September 4, 2026, aboard the Celebrity Edge. It departs from Seattle, WA, USA and we’ll see Ketchikan, Endicott Arm, Dawes Glacier, Juneau, Skagway, Inside Passage, and Victoria, BC.

  • It's best to arrive in Seattle the night before cruise departure to minimize any travel issues that could prevent you from boarding on time.

  • Yes! Submit your registration form and indicate that you'd like a roommate. Additionally, we have a Facebook group where you can connect with other cruisers to find a compatible roommate.

    • Friday, August 28: Depart Seattle, WA

    • Saturday, August 29: At Sea Day

    • Sunday, August 30: Docking at Ketchikan, AK

    • Monday, August 31: Cruising Endicott Arm and docking at Juneau AK

    • Tuesday, September 1: Docking at Skagway, AK and cruising Inside Passage

    • Wednesday, September 2: At Sea Day

    • Thursday, September 3: Docking at Victoria, BC

    • Friday, September 4: Arrive at Seattle at 6am PT

Quilting Retreat Details

  • No need to worry about bringing your own sewing machine! Sewing machines will be provided for all retreat participants. You’ll have access to high-quality machines during the quilting classes, so you can focus on learning and creating without the hassle of transporting your own machine.

  • For the quilting classes, you’ll only need to bring your fabric, basic quilting tools (like scissors, thread, etc.), and any project ideas or questions you’d like to work on. The sewing machines, cutting mats, and irons will be provided. You’ll get more details on what materials to bring as the retreat approaches.

  • We are working behind the scenes to design, plan, and test out our official cruise project. Project - and all the details - will be released April 30, 2026. Don’t worry about your skill level - between Ian, Tiffany & I we’ll make sure you’re able to follow along!

  • The retreat is designed for quilters of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced. Whether you're looking to learn new techniques or work on a project you’ve already started, there will be plenty of opportunity to learn and grow. Our instructors will provide personalized guidance and tips tailored to your experience level.

  • No, participation in the retreat activities requires booking through the specified link with RGE Travel. Booking the cruise separately with Celebrity will not allow you to register for, or take part in, any additional activities planned by RGE - including the sewing retreat.

  • Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring your own fabric and quilting supplies if you’d like. If you have a specific project you’re working on, feel free to bring those items along.

  • Yes! There will be plenty of free time built into the schedule for you to explore the ship, relax, or enjoy the stunning Alaskan ports of call. There will also be optional shore excursions and onboard activities if you want to further explore the destination and ship during your free time.

  • The pricing for the quilting retreat and optional add-ons will be available approximately April 30, 2026. Stay tuned for more details about booking and costs.

  • You can secure your spot for the retreat by booking your cruise cabin first through RGE Travel. After booking, you’ll receive details about additional options for the quilt retreat classes and exclusive excursions.

    Bookings for these add-ons will open in late April 2026 and will be available only to those booked on the cruise through RGE Travel.

Shore Excursions & Add-Ons

  • All shore excursions are optional add-ons with associated costs. Group excursions will be coordinated by RGE Travel and are limited to those participating in our cruise. Registration for excursions will open through RGE Travel around April 30, 2026.

  • Prices are currently being negotiated and will be published around April 30, 2026.
