Instructor-Led English Paper Piecing Class
Location:The Loft at Holly Quilt Shop in Holly, MI
Please note: the loft is accessed by stairs.
English Paper Piecing (EPP) is a slow, satisfying way to quilt by hand using small paper templates, fabric, and a needle. No machines. No rushing. Just tiny stitches, crisp shapes, and that deeply good feeling of watching order come together one piece at a time.
In this class, you’ll learn the basics of English Paper Piecing from the ground up. We’ll cover how to prepare your pieces, baste fabric to paper, stitch them together neatly, and actually enjoy the process instead of fighting it. If you’ve ever admired perfect hexies and thought that looks intimidating, this class is where that fear disappears.
This class is perfect for:
Beginning quilters looking for a low-pressure, no-machine entry point
Newer quilters wanting to build precision and confidence
Experienced quilters craving something portable, meditative, and different
Anyone who wants a project that fits in a bag and goes anywhere
All supplies are included except scissors.
Please bring your own scissors.
You’re also welcome to bring a favorite fabric if you’d like to work with something specific.
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about slowing down, learning a beautiful technique, and saying hex yeah to trying something new.
