Thank you so much for your interest in testing the Celestial Paths quilt pattern! Your feedback will be crucial in helping me perfect the design before releasing it to the public. Below, you’ll find all the details you need to understand the testing process, key milestones, and requirements for becoming a tester.

What You’ll Be Testing:

The Celestial Paths pattern is a modern, versatile quilt design that works beautifully with both solid and printed fabrics. It’s perfect for quilters of all levels and comes in lap, throw, twin, and queen sizes. Testers will help ensure the pattern’s clarity, accuracy, and ease of use, as well as provide feedback on any areas for improvement.

As a tester, you’ll:

  • Follow the provided pattern instructions to create your quilt

  • Provide feedback on any unclear instructions, typos, or layout issues

  • Share your progress, ask questions, and upload your final quilt top photo by the deadline

Compensation Options:

As a thank you for your time and effort, testers will receive one of the following compensation options:

  • Free edge-to-edge longarming service (I provide the batting; you provide backing and top)

  • Cash stipend (please enter your preferred amount in the application form)

Milestones & Key Dates:

📩 Applications Due: Friday, March 28, 2025

  • Please complete this application by the end of the day.

📣 Testers Announced: Saturday, March 29, 2025

  • Selected testers will be notified and added to the Slack workspace.

🧵 Testing Begins: Sunday, March 30, 2025

  • Receive your pattern and get started! You'll have 3 weeks to complete the quilt top.

💬 Feedback Deadline: Sunday, April 20

  • Submit any feedback or concerns by this date. Please make sure you’ve tested the full pattern and provided all necessary details.

📸 Final Quilt Top Photo Due: Sunday, April 27

  • Share a photo of your completed quilt top in the #tester-gallery Slack channel.

Requirements for Testers:

To ensure a successful testing experience, here’s what you need to be able to commit to:

  • Time Commitment: You must be able to complete a quilt top by April 27.

  • Communication: All communication will be via Slack. You’ll need to be active in our Slack workspace for questions, feedback, and updates throughout the testing period.

  • Experience Level: All skill levels are welcome! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned quilter, your feedback is invaluable.

  • Feedback: You will need to provide honest and constructive feedback about the pattern. Focus on areas like clarity, ease of use, and accuracy.

  • Progress Photos: As you work through the pattern, share photos of your progress in the #celestial-paths Slack channel. We encourage a supportive, fun environment for sharing ideas and progress!
