Fat Quarter Shop is hosting a sew along for Lori Holt’s 2-color ‘Home Again’ pattern - and I’ll be sewing along in the color way ‘Raisin’!
Home Again Quilt Along
Join me from April 4, 2023 - May 2, 2023 in the Home Again Quilt Along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop. In this QAL, we’ll assemble Lori Holt’s 2-color quilt pattern called ‘Home Again’, and I’ll be doing the ‘Raisin’ color way!
If you’ve been around my channel at all, you know I love Lori Holt’s patterns - so when Fat Quarter Shop announced a quilt along for her Home Again pattern, you know I had to jump on board!
This is a 5-week sew along that should go together pretty easily. Each week, we’ll be building out the same block and then eventually putting it together into a full quilt top. Personally, I’m looking forward to doing the entire quilt - but you could modify the project to your town tastes! Make one block for a pillow! Or, put 4 together into a table topper/table runner/wall hanging!
If you’re making the entire quilt top - here’s what you can expect. For the first 4 weeks, you’ll make 3 of the blocks so that at the end of the period, you have 12 of the same block. In week 5, we’ll take those 12 blocks together and put it together with some sashing & borders!
While I’m doing the Raisin color way, Lori has done fabulous job of putting together other samples that you could shop from. Check out all of the inspiration below!

What is the Puzzle Mystery Quilt?
The Puzzle Mystery Quilt (PMQ) is a 10-month BOM program designed by Sheila Christensen and features die-cut pieces to assemble clues each month. In months 1-9, you assemble clues and in month 10, you put all those clues together (plus your borders) to make a lovely quilt top! Cotton Cuts hosts 2 PMQs a year: the Fall (which signs up in May and ships in July), and Spring (which signs up in December, and ships in February). They offer a variety of color-ways in two different sizes!

I loved my time creating the blocks and videos for the Bright Side Quilt Along…and have decided I want to do the same thing with the 2021 - 2022 Sew Sampler BOM, Bliss!
As soon as the Bright Side series concludes, I’ll roll into weekly videos showcasing blocks 1, 2, and 3 for the Bliss Quilt Along. After that, I’ll follow a monthly format producing a pre-recorded video as I receive each Sew Sampler Box, concluding the spring of 2023. There’s still plenty of time to join in on the fun…and FQS even has some kits (as of the writing of this post) available - I was lucky enough to snag one! If you want to sew with me, take the next couple of weeks to grab your fabric, get your patterns handy, and meet me on YouTube mid-July! Videos will be released at 9am ET on Saturday so you have all weekend to sew the block together!
